Today I received a truly magical box with an absolutely beautiful girl inside. I was actually really surprised it arrived already today as I thought the earliest would be Tuesday due to our holiday on Monday, but I think the AG fairy godmother made sure this glorious girl didn't have to spend a long holiday weekend at an empty customs office.
Elizabeth has arrived all the way from the other side of the big pond to join her best friend Felicity. She's so beautiful and I was really pleasantly surprised at the shade of her dress. I love the changeant and the little ribbons on her stomacher look so pretty changing from pink to orange to cream. The lace is very similar to some old lace I still have from my grandmother, and I have already some ideas how to use them.
Elizabeth is now practicing language of the fan, although I think she's a little to young for quite a few of these messages.
In the box was also the new AG tote bag, which is really nice and I tried already to seat two dolls in it - they fit but I think it's nicer just to carry one doll, if you're planning to carry it on your shoulder. With two dolls strapped into the bag I would just carry it in the hand. There was also the girl-sized Marisol hat and choker for Kamilla in the box, which she'll also get for her birthday.
I hope the girls will be able to get some sleep tonight and not chat the whole night long. Planning on taking pictures on the weekend.

Wow, what a delightful box you received! You are right about Elizabeth's dress--it has that subtle change in color from pink to tangerine to cream. And the ribbon in the front is just lovely. From the early pictures, I can say that I did not like her dress at all, but the same dress in real life is simply stunning.
Congrats on your new Elizabeth! She just arrived here yesterday too, and I just love her. DD hasn't seen her yet...gonna try to save until her b-day...it is gonna be hard! Her dress is just beautiful, I can't wait to see the other dresses in person. If they are anything like Elizabeth's meet dress that will explain the price difference.
We also got the carrier. We fit 2 dolls in when we went to the beach, but you are right, one doll just fits perfectly! It is such a nice little addtion!

Oh, isn't she just gorgeous? Our Elizabeth arrived this week, too and my dds have been playing school with her (it turns out she's very smart...she already knows how to read!).
The lace is one of the first things I noticed, too. It looks so "old world," not like the crisp white lace we usually see.
We can't quite figure out how to attach her pinner cap, though. Ours didn't come with pins. [img]confused.gif[/img]

Congrats on your new girl; I'm so glad she arrived safely - and you got other lovely things as well! I think Kamilla will love her new hat; I think it's precious. Also glad to hear the reviews on the new doll carrier.
